She borks a lot…

Molly is a super sweet hound pup who spent a lot of time in shelters, and not a lot of time being properly socialized. The combination of being high energy and being cooped up (and, to be honest, sedated…) has yielded a lot of barrier reactivity that we’re trying to get past. I’ve known about leash reactivity—where perfectly friendly, playful dogs absolutely lose their MINDS at other dogs when they meet on the leash—but I’m not used to barrier reactivity to this extent. So I had to do a bit of research.

We’re still hoping that as she decompresses more and more, this anxious response to barrier frustration will lessen, but for the time being, we’re just happy to have her in our home.
